Well it's been ages. Following a serious illness in a key person within Friends of Kerr Layen the charity as was has been shelved for about 18months, although a lot of support has gone into the village and and into regional welfare. This has included a number of medical emergencies, food aid and general support of the Cashew trees. Currently the further development is under review within a small team. We are glad to welcome back our colleague who is now back fully fit. WE are continuing our support initially within a small group of individuals to pick up on the needed support and maintenance required Gambia side. The first key component is to provide fertilizers for the trees as we go through the balance of the summer and into the autumn. This will be done in a number of ways, by donation to a dedicated bank account, sponsoring/adopting a tree personally or as a legacy. Further details will be published shortly together with details of banking. Our target for the year 2025/26 is just £2,000 of which 50% will be needed for Fertilizers. For further information ring us or email us on the contact detail at the foot of the home page. If you would like to help with our annual Fertiliser then you can donate HERE Thank You.
