Big Things on the Groundnut Front

Friends of Kerr Layen are pleased to announce that the five hectares of Groundnuts planted in June look to have a great harvest potential in December. Thanks so much to all who have helped in so many ways to make this part of our first year journey a success. The bottom line is that a lot of love and goodwill has arrived in the village at a much needed time. The nuts will be sold on for the benefit of the whole village and the income go toward food and the seeding for next year's planting June 2022.

We shipped 20,000 meal portions of rice in Feb/Mar to overcome a real food shortage and the groundnut will come a long way to overcoming this issue to March 2022.

Friends are looking to increase the groundnut plantation at Kerr LAyen from five hectares to ten hectares in 2022!
